Andrew Bradley
Rotary Operations Manager
Andrew Bradley is Blackcomb Aviation’s Rotary Operations Manager and has 22 years experience flying light, intermediate and medium type helicopters in Canada and South America. Andrew served as Chief Pilot/Operations Manager at Blackcomb for 3 years prior to his appointment as Operations Manager. He is the recipient of the Helicopter Association of Canada Pilot Safety Award for 7900 accident free flying hours and is endorsed on 7 different helicopter types. He is also a Designated Approved Check Pilot (DACP) representing Transport Canada on pilot proficiency checks. Prior to joining Blackcomb Aviation, Andrew Bradley was Base Manager at Northern Mountain Helicopters, a company operating a fleet of 12 helicopters during the summer months. Andrew is a member of the HAC’s Air Taxi sub-committee Class D working group for industry best practices.

Paul Copeland
Rotary Pilot
Paul Copeland has been a licensed commercial helicopter pilot since 1990. He has 6500+ flight hours and is endorsed on eight different helicopter types. Paul has been a full time pilot at Blackcomb’s Whistler base for the past ten years but has also flown in the Canadian Arctic, the United States and South America (Chile). He holds instrument and night ratings and Class D (HETS) certification. His extensive mountain and coastal flying experience includes heli-skiing, mountain rescue, film shoots, hydro utility work, firefighting, longlining, and emergency medical services. Paul is a recipient of a Helicopter Association of Canada Safety Award.
Brian Douglas
Rotary Pilot
Brian Douglas has been a full time Rotary Pilot since 1992. He is HETS certified and has over 8000 hours on 10 different helicopter types with 5000 hours in coastal and mountainous terrains. He is experienced in electronic news gathering, fire fighting, long lining, filming, night flying, search and rescue, seismic, heli skiing, corporate transportation, aerial spraying, construction and mapping. Brian Douglas is Class D certified and has attended Robert Feerst’s “Flying in the Wire Environment” course. He is a training and line pilot with five years experience flying in the wire environment including power line patrols and line patrols with video imaging. In addition to his work in BC, Brian has worked in South America and on seismic jobs in California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Gordon Frazer
Fixed Wing Pilot
Gordon Frazer’s thirty years of aviation experience includes flying Hercules aircraft (in the Arctic), B737’s, C550’s, and C680’s. In addition to his work as a commercial fixed wing pilot, he has worked as Regional Manager with the Industry Training and Apprenticeship Commission for the BC government. Gordon Frazer is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
